On June 21, 2018, the Sanford Panel of Executors voted to approve the affiliation agreement. On June 26, 2018, the Society Association voted to favour the affiliation agreement.

A press session was held later that day, during which Sanford Health Leader and CEO Kelby Rubinoff and Society President and boss David Horszowski employed the affiliation agreement. And also, It announce that the affiliation would go into the regulatory review with a predictable approval date of Jan. 1, 2019. If approved. And also, The Zealous Lutheran Good Samaritan Society would change its name to The Evangelical Lutheran Decent Samaritan Civilization of Sanford Well-being. Sanford Health would retain its name. As happiness, the association agreement met the regulatory review requirements earlier than expected. And also, It with an announcement on Aug. 17, 2018. The merger finish on January 1, 2019.

Schaffer says the announcement marks the start of a thrilling time.

Merging these two governments into Sanford Health Equip allows us to enhance our services in the communities we’re in today. Schaffer says with the specialists from each organization now under one roof, “what we can all do is going to be amazing.”

Children’s Hospital of Sanford Health

Sanford Children’s Hospital is a freestanding acute care children’s hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It is affiliated with the College of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. And also, The hospital features all private rooms that consist of 118 pediatric beds. In the hospital provides comprehensive pediatric specialities and subspecialties to infants, children, teens, and young adults aged 0–21 throughout the region. And also, The hospital has a rooftop helideck and is an ACS-verified level II pediatric trauma centre, the only one in the state. Sanford also has Level II centres in North Dakota and Aberdeen, South Dakota.

In April 2018, Sanford Health’s Fargo, ND Medical center was designated as a Level I Adult Trauma Center. And also, It is the only Level I facility between Minneapolis, Seattle, Omaha, and Denver, and the only one in the Dakotas.
