The National Assembly of Rectors appointed the first Organizing Commission through Resolution No. 0270-90-ANR of October 02, 1990, a Commission that came to Huancavelica to install the UNH in this city officially, which is the headquarters. On Sunday, October 14 of that year, an unforgettable installation ceremony took place in the Plaza de Amras, constituting an actual cultural event that marked a milestone in the regional history of Huancavelica.

Within the UNH, two test models are used, one for each modality. The extraordinary exam comprises 30 questions evaluating the areas of knowledge, skills, and general culture. While the regular exam consists of 100 single-choice questions divided into seven categories:

Mathematics: Propositional logic, fundamental operations in Z, laws of exponents, polynomial multiplication, algebraic division, segments and angles, polygons and quadrilaterals, trigonometric ratios, statistics, and probabilities.

Communication: Language, linguistic sign, variable and invariable words, literary theory, Spanish literature, Latin American literature, Peruvian literature.

Science and Technology: Work, power, and energy; fluid mechanics, matter and energy; chemical reactions, organic chemistry, biodiversity in Peru; environmental pollution, cell cytology and physiology, biotechnology.

Personal development, citizenship, and civics: Culture, democracy, political constitution, human rights, personality, self-affirmation and self-knowledge, gender stereotypes, contemporary philosophy, sense of ethics.

Social Sciences: Geography of the Peruvian territory, human population of Peru, economic factors, money and inflation, the people of America, first civilizations, beginning of the republic, Peru in the last decades.

Skills: Communication skills (semantic relationships, analogies, verbal series, image analysis, cohesion, coherence, and textual reference) and logical-mathematical skills (inductive and deductive reasoning, problems with fractions, sequences, and series).

Psychotechnical: Numerical and logical aptitude, spatial and abstract aptitude, sequences, counting plane figures, perimeters.

When do the Social Connection & UNH admission Schedules Come Out?

At the National University of Huancavelica, two admission contests organize, each corresponding to a semester of the year. And also, The schedules usually publish at the beginning of the second semester, according to the layout of the academic calendar structured by the university:

Admission Process: It carries out between August to December, generally. Applicants can apply for the regular, CEPRE, and extraordinary exam modalities. Pre-University Center: Applicants registered in the CEPRE have obtained a minimum grade of 10.5 points in the exams organized by the center. They must present their secondary education certificate.

First Places of Secondary Education: High school graduates ranked 1st or 2nd in order of merit in their promotion two years before admission.

Agreements of communities and public institutions: People from rural communities or public institutions with which the UNH has deals.

Internal transfer: UNH students who seek to change their professional school do not have any disciplinary sanction.

External transfer: Students from other Peruvian universities or abroad prefer to continue their studies at the UNH.

Second Race: Graduates with a Bachelor’s or Professional Degree who wish to pursue a second career at UNH.

Qualified athletes: The Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) applicants consider Outstanding Athletes. Those admitted acquiring the commitment to represent the university in the sporting events of their discipline.

Victims of Terrorism and Social Violence: High school graduates registered in the Special Registry of Beneficiaries of Reparations in Education.

People with Disabilities: Applicants with disabilities duly registered in CONADIS.
